Not so very long ago a woman painted some whimsical paintings. They were of creatures with wings and horses with horns and lizards that flew...
To her surprise and pleasure, other people admired her scribbles and the fortunate woman felt blessed to be able to make so many people happy.
Some years passed and the woman found herself expecting a child, a second baby after many long years of raising a first child to adulthood. In the way of expectant mothers she found herself wondering and dreaming. At the appropriate time, her child was born and the woman was again blessed to find herself the new mother of a fine girl baby, with soft downy dark hair and pale pink lips, and rich mahogany eyes.
"My fairy baby, " thought the woman.
Now, it so happened that the woman was friends with some other women who also painted winged creatures. In the spirit of love, these women sent gifts for the new baby. The woman was grateful. As she opened each box as it arrived and saw the many lovely gifts sent by her creative friends a little muse whispered to her an idea.

"My name is Jacqueline Collen-Tarrolly and I am the woman in the story. When my daughter Antonia was born in November, 2005, I had a very hard time finding items for her that suited my very particular, somewhat imaginative needs. The things I loved the best were the ones sent to me by my fellow fairy artist friends. I knew that other moms would love these things for their babies just as much as I loved them. So I created myfairybaby.com and filled it with all the special things my wonderful and creative friends painted and crafted for it.
